The Depot’s top 5 local adventures!

We love getting out and about and exploring where we live!

From hiking, trail running, canyons, mountain bike riding and climbing… We love all things adventure at The Physio Depot!

Here our top 5 local spots to explore this weekend!

  1. Martins Lookout to Lost World
A hilly trail taking you from Martins lookout down through the valley, across the creek and up the other side. There are great views from the cross at Lost World and this is approximately a 7km out and back from the Martins lookout carpark.
It gets the legs pumping with lots of stairs but the views are worth it!

  2. Blue Gum Swamp/Grose head South
Blue Gum swamp is a  10km loop with big beautiful gums and ferns (it’s a little slushy underfoot when it’s wet). For those wanting an extra challenge follow the sign up to Bee’s Nest to grab a view of Grose Head South. The walk starts from the end of Whitecross road in Winmalee. Great run, ride or hike for people wanting to experience something special close to home!
  3. Sassafras Gully, Victory Track and Magdala gully loop track
Perched at the back of Springwood village you can wander for hours through the single tracks of sassafras gully. Plenty of waterfalls and awesome spots of check out in this awesome part of the world. It is a little technical underfoot with lots of exposed tree roots but well worth the effort. If you’re feeling keen you can wrap the walk all the way around to Martins look out.
  4. Faulconbridge Point
The view says it all. A fairly flat 7km of fire trail taking you out to the best lower mountains look out (I think we are biased!). It’s a great 14km ride or run out and back. If you’re feeling energetic you can take the single track a kilometre from the end down to the Grose river for a swim, but beware it’s steep!
  5. Lawson Waterfall Loop
A great short 4km loop track in Lawson. It’s perfect for a short family walk and your furry friends can come along to as the reserve is dog friendly. Awesome waterfalls and rainforest areas. There is some steep stair sections, creek crossings, bridges lots of single track to keep you busy.

We love helping people get out of pain so they can get back outdoors and enjoying where we live.
